Recognized as one of Canada's Top Employers for Young People (2025):
By Kristina Leung, Chantel Watkins, and Cypress Weston, Mediacorp Canada Inc. staff editors (Jan 20, 2025)
Here are some of the reasons why Sinai Health was selected as one of Canada's Top Employers for Young People (2025):
- Sinai Health manages a pharmacy residency program, a structured 12-month training program that balances participation in the principles and practice of clinical, distributive, administrative and research activities, with an emphasis on patient care -- residents complete rotations across various positions over the course of the program and have access to a residency coordinator and a preceptor for each rotation
- Labour and delivery nurses at Sinai Health receive ongoing support from experienced peers through the recently launched Nurturing Nurses mentorship program, a 15-week program where new nurses participate in a series of one-on-one meetings with experienced nurses to support the transition to independent practice
- Sinai Health, in partnership with University Health Network, manages a 12-week Geriatrics Summer Scholars Program for aspiring clinicians, researchers, and other individuals interested in working with older adults
